JMA UNI32S seems a very close match if anyone's interested.

OK, so my blanks have arrived, other than having only one shoulder they look just right. Once they're cut I'll let you know if they're steel or brass.

They were sold as JMA but the logo is Keyline Italy, code 32S.

No sign of brass in the teeth since cutting.

How cool!

This was my key to the Police Box in Sheffield  back in the days when it was used still used by the police.

I feel justified in saying I have a genuine Police Box key which would work in a TARDIS too!

Cardinal Hordriss

Ah yes, the green box. I think city ambassadors use it now but I haven't been on Fargate during the day for some time lol.

Was watching "The Black Orchid" last night & remembered a police officer saying "Our keys won't open the police Box!" being the TARDIS they retrieved from the railway station platform.
This has been also said no many other occasions too.

So sorry to spoil things,  :(  but your key won't open the TARDIS!
But I am glad that you have "a genuine Police Box key", not many people can say that.  :D

This is awesome - nice work on identifying that key, Cardinal! :)

Davros Skaro, I think what Mark meant is that he has a genuine police box key (which I’m not jealous of at all ;)) that is the same as the key to the Master’s TARDIS in Colony in Space, therefore he has a police box key that would also work in a TARDIS.
"Would you like a jelly baby?"

Mark

Thanks 14th, that's exactly what I meant. My typing ignored my thinking :)

That said, Black Orchid was filmed in Buckinghamshire and East Sussex. I'm don't think there was reference to the actual location in the two episodes so I'll use those listed.

As such, a police constable from either Thames Valley Police or Essex Police (as they are known now) wouldn't be able to open the Police Box (if it were real and not the TARDIS BTW) as they didn't use Met style boxes in those police force areas and would certainly have had different locks on their own style of Police Box.

14th, don't be too jealous, as Cardinal Hordriss said - the box is used by Sheffield City Ambassadors so I can't get in anymore (changed the lock :()

Sooo, I looked up "UNI 32S key blank": into Google, and this was the first result.

Coincidence?

I THINK NOT! XD
