Is it just my imagination (or my stanky old wizzard eyes), or does the roof of this box from this angle give it the appearance of an early Brachacki TARDIS (pre-"War Machines")?

It's a later Type 5/Mark 3 box, so it doesn't look much like a TARDIS at all.

Well, I could see that much from the window configurations, but it just at the angle the photo was taken from, and the slight fuzziness of it, that the roofline the box has for some reason made me think "Early Brachacki".

No this is not my attempt at colourisation!   ;D

A bonafide colour Photo from 1970 (Not long before destruction!)

Wow! (Everyone, open that image in a new window to see it full-size! :o What an amazing find, Pete!)

Looking at it makes me feel like either the sky was unusually brownish that day, or the photo has turned colors, and darkened with age. Below is my (semi-feeble) attempt at some color-correction, using the sky and grass as references.

K19 - Color-Corrected(Maybe).jpg
I know the smog looks bluish, but I remember seeing that smoggy-colored sky as I approached New York City when I would go there to visit my father and grandmother. I don't know how my stanky old wizzard eyes perceive things, but the sky looks about right, as does the grass. The reds (on the car and the panels on the building on that "island") also look about right. And the Box looks like an appropriate blue for something that was about to be torn down (as in not having been repainted in the recent past).

Does it work, or am I way off the mark? (If I am, would someone else with better skills like to have a go at color-correcting the image? It would be interesting to see this as though we were standing there at the time, and taking the photo.)

A huge plus in the original photo in Pete's post is that it's easier to see the bright UFO in the sky!

Here is my attempt to clear away the smog. Much less blueness.

I'm not one to pass up an opportunity like this!

Still far too much blue in that.

Putting the photo through its paces in Photoshop.......

The colour curves are too uneven. It would need a LOT of work to fix perfectly. You guys are all doing a pretty decent job though :)
