Whilst researching something completely unrelated, I discovered this...

Isn't that how things always go? You look like crazy for "this", and then when you're looking for "that", you find "this" instead! (When you need to find something, always look for something else and you'll find what you're originally looking for.)

A similar though larger/ wider looking chair.

Unless Churchill was a lot smaller than we've been led to believe. (Hey; it's possible. Roosevelt hid his polio for most of his presidency, and he served FOUR terms!)

Yep it's a lovely chair I have one

You fiend! ;D (Come on now. There's got to be a limit on how lucky someone can get. I'm tapped out, though my wife says it's because I used up all of my allotted luck when I landed her. She may be right.)

I'm still holding out for a Swedish Armillary Sphere.....

While searching for 1:6 scale furniture I came across this:
Vitra Miniature Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman
https://www.stardust.com/eamesloungemini.html
Charles-and-Ray-Eames-Lounge-Chair-with-Ottoman.jpgPD_5334_MAIN.jpg

Rather expensive @ $795.00

Images of the back of what I presume to be a full sized chair:

why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

$795 for miniatures :o

On a related note, any 3D people can find a few items of TARDIS furniture here... (including this armchair and footstool combo)

The Power of the Daleks wire chairs are on there too. (Though Timegirl will spank me if I don't mention that they aren't the same as the Wheel in Space/ Edge of Destruction chairs :D )

Sir-Winston-Churchill.jpg

I was just watching the Star Trek: TOS episode, "Erand of Mercy" and spotted these similar chairs.

Starting to wonder if Churchill's one is a throne, and the two that we have in the TARDIS would have been placed next to it for "less regal" people....

I'd love to have an Eames Chair IRL.  It's funny, because I never realized The Doctor had one.  You always think of medieval style chairs in the console room.  Kind of neat, seeing him in a contemporary mid 20th century chair in the TARDIS.
