I used to say that this is my favourite console (also the one I perhaps saw the most, and the one with actual "technology" on it). So even though I'm a tadge more obsessed with the Hartnell version, I still love this as much as I ever did.

Your model is looking fantastic! You've captured the little details I just wasn't able to (or wasn't patient enough to) apply to my model. I think it's really impressive.

If you're looking for more references, I can dig out the ones I used for my build. I made a pretty exhaustive search for photos and made a bunch of screen caps myself.

thank you I'm glad you like the Model - This is a Builder's proof so I could figure out how to build a full scale model. I'll probably do more work on it in the future - just because I really enjoy this model - Right now it has a place of honor near my TV and it makes programs that much more interesting. I've done the same thing, if it starts going south I step away to regroup..good policy, still looks great so far though

Found out the root of the problem. I recently purchased an 8hp drill with 3 more horsepower than I am used to. So much torque.

The long of the short of it is, I need to get a new 4" holesaw....

The new wall needs a good sanding.

I like the giant cat effect. It reminds me of the original 'Trek' episode "Catspaw" (Season 2). The only TOS Halloween-themed show, whose airing was delayed to coincide with Halloween (aired on October 27, the closest regular time slot they had to Halloween).

Giant cats are great monsters. (This looks better than the giant rat scenes from "The Talons Of Weng Chiang".
