I noticed that in Inferno that console most likely yellowed. But after looking at more images the green shows through on some parts of the of the console, like it was repainted. Does anybody know if it was repainted or a bit yellowed after Ambassadors?

It does depend on the material though. So I'm not sure.

I heard that they refurbished the console again for inferno. So a repaint could have been possible, but I don't know for sure

I know this is a dead thread, but in one of the threads discussing the pale green color of the console, someone said that the paints used at the time were oil-based, and that 6+ years of use under hot studio lights caused the paint to yellow somewhat. I don't know enough about oil paint to say whether that's true or not, but it certainly seems possible.

The "oil" in oil paint is boiled linseed oil, which has a wonderful kind of honey/amber color.  And even though I have an art degree I can't definitively say that would cause paint to yellow, but it seems right.
