Correct, Chris. That third photo in the listing is the telling. Even the slightest of dome-ness to those discs and you'd never be able to stack them in "step" fashion that high, so they've got to be flat.

On US eBay (just ebay.com) it says they don't post to the US either. This is one of the things that really irks me. If you're not going to post to a country, then why are you listing your thing on that country's eBay site? If you're only going to post to the UK, then keep your listing confined to eBay UK!

Those are nice ones as well, and they do post to the US as well as Australia! The grey ones are nice. You'd only need to stick on your printed yellow emoji then. Shipping is a bit steep, especially once you add it into the cost of the discs.

14th, your Sketchup Blueprints are great! Measurements and all! One thing I did notice is there's a thickness to the yellow part of the Indicator where the emoji is displayed. It looks to be about 1mm thick. Is that about right? (Or does anyone know what the actual thickness of the yellow part was since it did show some thickness to it?)

Well, on the SketchUp model I made the yellow part 0.5mm thick, but looking back at the screenshots in the first post, and taking into account the fact that the yellow parts were domed on the originals, I'd say 1mm thick would be closer to the original value.

I sent them a message & they have since replied & they will post to Australia for 6 pound UK for 5, so send them a message Dino & check, they may come to the party, so to speak. They also do them in Yellow, but only 3mm, but that could be fixed by using 2 discs back to back. NOW there's a thought & would be cheaper than the link I found.

I was thinking of an idea for these emoticon badge props from the episode "Smile"

I came upon a video showing how an e-book, I think what its called works, black & white pixels change via magnets.

I was thinking find someone who's good with electronics & make a Bluetooth emoticon badge based on this tech.

BTW: any Idea on the size & thickness of the badges use in the episode?

I remember reading about 3 colour e-ink displays, and thinking how cool it would be to use it for Tardis signs. You'd be able to change the top and PTO signs to any version you wanted if you set it up for white, black and blue.
As for the badges, well, they can make watches with e-ink displays, but I think it would be pretty expensive to get it all in something that compact.

Elkad, the measurements were discussed back on Page 1 of this thread, with links to concept art, and comments transcribed from someone that worked on the episode: roughly 50mm in diameter, 5mm thick (at least the silver disc part; the yellow emoji surfaces may add an additional 1mm to each side, if I read that discussion correctly).
