Great screen grabs, TG! And that 3-D model looked like a real chair. If you hadn't said anything I'd have never known differently.

The chair has a seat belt! (never saw those on the Enterprise)

Yeah... but those chairs on the Enterprise (TOS only) weren't bolted to the deck like they were in the films and most iterations of TNG spin-offs, so any seat belt would have been worthless, and caused more harm than good. (Imagine taking a Klingon disruptor hit and being thrown across the bridge with one of those chairs strapped to your bum. Ouch would be an understatement! ) Probably could say the same for those chairs on the Silver Carrier, unless those were bolted to the deck. ("Wheel" is one of those I haven't gotten to see yet.) Besides, the chair does look better without a seatbelt.
