I took my TARDIS models down this morning to dust and thought I would take the opportunity to photograph the backs. I also added my 1963 model to a background of 60s London and popped in the 1st Doctor with the model FaceApp_1662483405651~5.jpgfor a bit of fun.

Yeah.......Grubby, dusty chipped paint here and there ( and that's just William Hartnell!) They look great. You should take them outside and play with a few different scenes....

I should. I always base the models on photos of the real prop, so if there is any damage then I add it to the model (this is actually my favourite part). Because the models are wood, it make it easy to follow the photos and add the chips with a craft knife. The Planet of the Spiders version is actually that beat up in the photos, which is quite amazing really (that they didn't repair it). The lamp is wonky and has uneven black tape around the top, so I added that too. I also added the dust and and dirt to the roof.

Well, that is real attention to detail! I am impressed. Weathering is often my favourite part of any kind of model build too, although I do not bother to get the accuracy that you are going for!
