Hopefully you folks aren't getting bored of these build diaries as I have plenty more to come haha.

Following in order except Im skipping season 8 for now. I also made a season 6-7 one at the start of the year so won't do another one of those for a while yet.
I realise the era for this box had a few changes but broadly speaking I'm going for a generic box for Mr Pertwee, ie the light and bright  blue look which will add a nice contrast to the 60s boxes.
The roof is an old one and is too big so I'll be replacing that.

Bored?!

Please keep 'em coming! I won't be satisfied until your shelf looks like the Celestial Toymaker's conveyer belt.

Hope you'll do the Season 8 box at some point. I really like how it looks in those Claws of Axos photos taken at Dungeness.

Haha good to hear! It's going to go on and on that line up and rest assured I'll definitely be doing that season 8 box, I too love the look :)

That's as far as I'm getting today. I cocked up the height of the door step on the base so had to cut it down a bit to allow the doors to fit. I'm happy with the progress though and the first time I've actually been happy with the colour of this particular box :)

What materials are you using? I've wanted to build an accurate Classic Police Box for awhile. I've heard thin sheets of styrene and balsa wood work. I unfortunately don't have a laser cutter, so I also am wondering what is the best way to get as close to a precision cut as possible.

Drat. Yet another reason for me to invest in a 3D printer!  :)

I've decided to change the title of this one to generic TARDISs to cover all my builds/prints as I still haven't quite finished the third doctor box but I'm moved on with the Newbery and season 18/19 TYJ lol.

Here are a few progress pics...590217F1-758E-4FB0-8EC0-5F8B263790D4.jpeg

I've got some work to do on lamps and windows panes of the third and 4th doctor box but they're nearly done.
Everything is exact to Tony's plans and I'm really chuffed with how they are all looking :)
The opposite side of the season 18 box will have the 4th notched step like my last model of this one.

The line up so far, waiting on some printer cartridges to do the signs.

The latest one is a season 20-22 with a twist. On the reverse side it's a Timeflight variant with the Newbery sign...DCD14849-C0F1-4397-875F-9EFD67AF0CC4.jpegE339FC3E-7C33-4D74-8BA0-CC33CBEC58D8.jpeg05F451D1-1C2D-4CB5-90B7-47BDAE7B26C4.jpeg

Finally got around to finishing two Yardley Jones 1/13 boxes. Season 18/19 and season 20-22...
I do have an Earthshock and Timeflight variant also in the works and I still need to finish my two McCoy boxes for a complete set of TYJs.7A492772-1322-4DE1-83C9-762C0D87EF72.jpeg
