why doesn't the Guide mention them? - Oh, it's not very accurate.
Oh? - I'm researching the new edition.

Cardinal Hordriss

Slightly not box related but is the prop the Master uses on the lock anything special? I've never really noticed it until looking at the pics above.
I speak to you from the final days of Gallifrey. I am the past you have forgotten. You are the future I will not live to see...

Kingpin

Looks like it could be like a Yankee screwdriver, an extending/spring-loaded screwdriver, used by Elwood Blues towards the end of The Blues Brothers to vandalize the elevator.

I bought one of these at a garage sale, thought it would be an inspiration for a Sonic Screwdriver in the future. ;D

Looking at the images I can see that it does look like a Yankee driver.

I'll have to re-watch the sequence. I always remembered it as a knife.

Angelus Lupus

A neat tool! I've often thought it must be an interesting thing to use - before we had electric screwdrivers, at least.
I remember when (a tool like) this, was one of the theories being suggested for the original Thunderbirds prop, although I think that one was thoroughly disproved?

Well if a TARDIS lock is primitive enough to be picked by a boy with the point of a badge then why not a skilled Time Lord with a mundane screwdriver?

It's easy enough to retcon/explain that as the Tardis herself deciding who she lets in. She probably saw that poor old Adders had to go boom for the Dinos to go bye-bye - she was just making sure a fixed point in time could occur  :)

I thought maybe it was part of the trap with it being the Master's TARDIS.
