I wanted to post pics of my new project.  It's got a lot of other influences, but based mostly on the ideas of the new series console.  The control surfaces have been exploded so that they are seperate from one another.  The rotor doesn't move, but I'll have video up for you to see what action it does have.

Let me know what you think.

Good to see another TimeLady in the world.  Yeah, that's my console.  It's been a wild ride so far.  At the Grand Canyon now, should be in Oregon soon enough, next stops are in Vegas and then on to LA, Montery and Eureka before Portland!

Wow, I really really like that.  It almsot feels Borg like being so dark and weathered as you have it.  Brilliant build.

WOW!  That may just be the coolest console I've ever seen.  Screwdriver's ace, too.

Ooh, now this I like.  I love the rotor and the housing around it, in fact, I am seriously impressed with that element... to the point that I'd say that if ever I built a console of this sort - I'd nick the idea.  Well, you know what they say about immitation and flattery.

Great job, even better would be some decent sized images for us to gaze on - though posted as clickable thumbnails.

Welcome aboard, as they say.

And some video of the control surfaces...  My PDA runs the sound for right now, but I want to upgrade to a laptop.

And some detail pics

It still has a lot of negative space in places, plus I need to add some elements of distressing after adding on some cables/wires to pull it all together...  Building with Random Pieces of Junk is hard.  It needs a lot of grime to hold it all together.

cooo - I am loving that! Very nicely done - in many ways I prefer it to the one in the programme.  Well done!

I love it! Just the right balance between new and old consoles imho - I like the distinctly separate panels more than the new series console's amorphous panels, and the controls actually look like Timelord spare parts and very purposeful (I don't like the random 20th century earth junk that's used on the new series console much). Do you build any other props (apart from the screwdriver, which also looks fantastic btw)?

cheers
Chris
