Well folks,
I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I am going to enjoy building my Tardis. She is not likely to be screen accurate but its going to be a fun project for me to stretch my artistic talents (What there is of them)

I wanted to make a TARDIS... When I was a Kid one summer I made one out of a big box the bookcase was delivered in.
It had doors and a light on top. I played for hours and hours pretending I was with the Doctor, and I was Ace (Yes I'm that old...) I went to my dads for a week and when I came back my TARDIS was gone...
The Doctor needed it...Thanks Mother! Well now I am going to make my own, and its going to fit in a backpack. well fairly large bag... but TARDIS in a fairly large bag didn't sound cool enough!

She is a custom canvas set that will be joined together with a lot of Velcro and a few hinges. yes she will be wibbly wobbly but I've been in the Tennant era one on set and that wasn't all that stable!

The main point is going to be that she can be packed up into a bag and carried on public transport. just me my bus pass, my TARDIS and a camera.
(Yes I realise I'm crazy...)
I'm going to post some plans soon but for now here's a pic of my test panel... nowhere near finished... its only a test... and it needs painting and all the art magic that makes it look like a panel not a canvas with holes cut in.

Well that's me so far... comments welcome x 2012-09-02 17.34.10 (480x640).jpg
