Sorry for taking so long to reply to your question. I think it cost me about £50 to £70 in total (I did keep a full record of costs but don't have it handy at the moment). I probably spent too much on paints and brushes and electronic parts - I could have got them cheaper elsewhere, and also I bought more than I needed. But at the same time I got a lot of the wood from my Dad so that was free, and also he already had all the tools I needed. I'd say the cost would depend a lot on what tools and bits of wood you already have lying around, if you need to buy all that it would push the cost up a fair bit.
