I recently watched this episode & I all ready forgot the name of the floating ball...Thingy! (we all float down here) Shut-up!..
I'm thinking Christmas ornament with taped over lines & painted, or meticulous gluing of small foam pads, or masking tape & sand blasting to make the lines after painting. Can anyone do a 3d animated GIF for line references?

I could make out 5 panders on the orb. The spacer triangles, the grid, the bouncing waves, the wobbly straight waves, & the sonar pattern.

I was wondering what the priorities to the Spoiler () tag is? What is being spoiled? Describing a prop would be like showing a movie trailer... wouldn't it? 

It's not like I said the Doctor & her friends met ...~STATIC~... & had to ...~STATIC~... with the ...~STATIC~... using ...~STATIC~...
I was amazed they ...~STATIC~... with...~STATIC~... & this is the major plot point of the story when they...~STATIC~... & save the day. lol

Nikola Tesla's Night Of Terror is still  protected by a spoiler warning because the episode is under two weeks old.

We try not to spoil plot elements that not everyone may have seen for about two weeks. The spoiler tag prevents images from appearing in the image feed.

Some people like to be surprised by the contents of an episode and don't actively seek video clips / interviews / etc. that may give away plot points / props etc.

I at a loss on how to measure this orb.

I know the orb is 3" round. I have a measuring compass. I just need to know what the size of the 4 circles are. (If there are fore circles.)
Am I suppose to divide 3" into fourths? I keep getting my size wrong & ending up with an oversized triangle on one side.

What color is it? A dark copper metal, or just a plane dark gray?

I reckon its grey/metallic. it looks copper in the tardis clips but i think thats because of the yellowy lights in the tardis shining of the surface.

The reflections of the lights around the TARDIS interior make it look copper, but the majority of shots outside the TARDIS, the prop looks more like a grey steel.
