You will note a Glasgow Box variation here that seems to be quite rare - the windows and other panels at the front (both concrete half-wall and wooden door) are significantly lower than on the side walls. I first noted this on a photo of a still unidentified Box erroneously tagged as being from 1931 in "The Police Signal Box: A 100 Year History", a seminal paper written by Robert W. Stewart back in 1994.

The caption for this photo read simply "A Young Lady Using a Glasgow Police Box in 1931", but no Box of this type was installed in Glasgow until late 1933 (the initial concrete boxes being commissioned Sep-Nov 1933). In fact, Percy Sillitoe (the man responsible for the new extension to the old system and the decision to use concrete boxes instead of the original cast iron ones) wasn't even appointed as Chief Constable of the Glasgow Police until December of 1931.
