I'm not sure what came over me, but in a moment of extreme geekiness, I decided to look at how the squareness of the 32 wall panels on the TARDIS have varied over time.
I measured off photos of the various props and tabulated them in Excel. Alas the photo measurements are probably not hugely accurate. I submit here the results for your viewing pleasure...

The ratio has a value of 1.0 if the panel is square, and larger values if it's more rectangular. A value of 2.0 means that the panel is twice as tall as it is wide.

Whats truly interesting about this is that, other than the 1996 movie version,  the abomination *cough* sorry ;) I mean NST is closest in squareness to the orginal police box! How weird is that!?  :o
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

But with the 05 box, are we talking about doors or the other 3 sides, as the panels are different...

The doors - I'd forgotten the sides were different. Having said that, I'm not sure which prop they were on...
