It depends on the style you want to build, the one you have posted here is the Parisian Gardsman lantern that was used for the new series so that would be perfect should you want to do a NST build.
I want notes, lists and answers by the time I finish this here Juicy-a-Box! WARNING: I am Thirst-ay! And it is Fruit Punch! And it is Delicious!"

I am looking on building a 10th Doctor era Tardis (David Tennant).  I purchased  Insturctions, Cutting List and Photos of a Tardis Build from eBay a couple of Years ago; and, after looking at them again - They aren't the best - although 'Respect' to their version.

Does anyone know where I can get excellent Instructions, Cutting List and Pics of the 10th Doctor Tardis Please?  Preferably Free, But I will look at buying them.

Please Remember that I am in the UK. :)

Thank You in Advance, for your help. :)

Lantern.jpg

I have been looking everywhere for a round "Fresnel Lens".  Found a company in Canda that sells the ones on private light aircrafts. :_|

Being in the UK - I don't want to see the price on them.

I have also been reading of the warnings about the Sunlight etc.

There was one on this forum with a link (In Seattle - NOT Sleepless in) but the company must have ceased trading.

Anyhow - Was thinking of getting one of these and removing the "Airvent" and inserting a Lamp (bulb).

What do you guys think - do you know of anything better?

PS - This Lantern's Dimensions are:  26cm H x 11cm W x 18cm D  Does that sound alright?

your gonna have to modify it a little. the vent section towards the top needs to be removed. i'm not sure about the dimensions but i believe there is a large version and a small version of this lantern. the large version is the beacon on the nst. good luck with the build

Guess I should have asked around before pulling my hair out trying to track one down.  I'd read that they stopped making and it was getting to be very hard to find.  I'd be interested to know how you did the mod on this, that is if you've done any work on it yet.

What you may have read is that they make these in batches and only get released at certain times of the year, so depending on how much stock is bought and how popular they are reflects on their availability at the various stockists.

Just like the B&Q lamp, this is a lookalike product; it's not exact, but as close as needs be... then again, the B&Q lamp seems to have been used on the newest TARDIS prop that was built for series four.

This one is the one I got for my build, and was very easy to modify the top section.  :)
My pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border.

I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked.

This is the lamp in question. I have found it at a local garden centre for £11.99

OYLAMP.jpg

It was £9.99 two years ago, and as mentioned, it is becoming harder to find.
Mark, I will happily send one with the lock and handles, if you'd like

Thanks, but no need.  This is the one I found and I ordered it yesterday.  Should be here by Thursday.  If it's not the same I'll let you know though.  Thanks again!
