Tomatofish1, some of the sounds in here should be helpful to you: TardisSounds Yahoo! Group If you're not a member there you'll have to join, but it's a free membership and there are sounds in the Files folder for just about every era of the show. All of the sounds are either in WAV or MP3 format and free downloads.

Then there's the TARDIS Sounds at the Doctor Who WAV Archive. Lots to listen through, and they're also free downloads.
