With thanks to Gavin Rymill, who sent this to me earlier today, we have our first glimpse of S6, located on the Brockley Hill junction with Edgeware Way, and the photo is dated April 1965.

Very nice!

From the churned up ground it looks like they were in the process of enlarging the roundabout, which was the reason for this Box's resiting a short distance to the north-northeast (moved some time between 1964 and 1969 per the OS maps).
