V41 - The Box on the southeast side of Kingston Hill in Kingston, a little southwest of the George and Dragon P.H.

Note that this is one of the very first all-concrete Met boxes (all the preceding boxes in Richmond, Wood Green, and Wimbledon being timber Mark 1s), and this photo was clearly taken at the same time as the first we have for V47 - http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=4410 and for the same reason, to publicize the rollout of the new Boxes in Kingston sub-division.

Excellent "early"  Article/Photo banzai...
I've noticed that before the late 1950's they wasn't that many photographs (apart from ads) in local newspapers!!

Definitely slim pickings for early photos.

I just realized that the police car/van in that first shot of V47 - http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=4410 has the same number plate as the above photo --



Certainly looks to be from the same run of publicity photos, even if possibly taken by different photographers. Perhaps a series of demonstrations or photo ops for the Press. Wonder if they took any photographs of the other Kingston boxes?
