That last picture gave me a flashback to the Doctor Who Experience. When that was still around, it was besides a little dock facing the Cardiff bay. The little dock had a little structure on its entrance, which was, well, basically that!
Looking very good.
Oh my giddy aunt!!

Ho yeah, that rings à Bell. Me personally it makes me think about that green screen scène with River song in space in thr séries 5angles episode(thé name wont come back to me at that moment for some reasons)

Work on the doors as begun. Nothing much to say for now about that exept placing the hinges will be Challenging.

At the same time here is my plan for the windows. Making some sort of à slt système. I'll be testing that on the back pannel first and then adapt it to the other windows.

Wow, looking great so far!  :o

The main problem with the CO is its skinny posts. Yours looks spot on though!

Funny enougth, the base and post where too thicc for the A/B prop and to fin for the D prop. It was a good toy tho i have to say. Just missing the light for the Smith boxes.

I've got à Nice système for the windows. Pretty much what i've planned worked so i'll move on making the différente variations.

About the doors, their well on their way to be complète. All the panneling détail is done, 2 first coats of paint, the little pannel door is also almost complet and looks as i intented.i'm still wondering if i shall make it open able even tho there is no Phone behind. Maybe i should make one. I do need to make some ajustements before gluing the hinges (wich i also haven't built yet)

IMG_20210504_203422_139.jpgIMG_20210504_175838_755.jpgIMG_20210504_175836_010.jpgIMG_20210504_175834_824.jpgIMG_20210504_175837_443.jpg

I think after all of this, all that will be left to do is looking for pannel gaps and find ways to shut thoses of. And we'll be done, ready to move on to the next builds (A/B prop allready started last month and an incoming C prop that i'm really exited about)

I'll leave you with this for to day^^

Progres report, the doors are mounted, that dremel made the hinges by it self... It's impressive how much time i've gain and how clean and précised they are.

All that is left to do is à proper mount for the lights, the sign boxes graphics, those pebbled glace corner to source, à lock système for the doors to stay shut and à varnish to aplie on the doors. Other then that it's pretty much done. Along with the build being very interesting, looking at the photos, once we start getting finished shots with natural outdoor lighting, I suspect that I'll be referencing this thread the next time someone asks "what's the right color of blue for my TARDIS."

Because I'm sure the paint is accurate, but these WiP photos with indoor light make it look a lot darker than I remember the 2010 box to be.  I remember it being a very bright, vibrant blue and in these photos it looks almost as dark as the Hartnell box.  Blue changes so much, depending on the lighting that trying to find the "perfect" blue can be an exercise in futility.
"My dear Litefoot, I've got a lantern and a pair of waders, and possibly the most fearsome piece of hand artillery in all England. What could possibly go wrong?"

It's not the bightest, even if the métal specs are anodised (or somethin i don't remmeber) it's still à bit more grayish, that and the fact it was absorbed by the wood grain. It's still quite bright, but yeah. Outside shots will make it justice. That and the more saturated color grading of series 5and 6 will help.

Update of the day
Nothing much to say, i've started working on the sign boxes graphics and did à terrible job. So it will need révision, bought expensive black film that look not to bad for the windows, haded thé lock on the door, and à few fixes here and there. I'll have to get New batteries soon for the light, it'z fading à bit and the more it fades, the more bluish the light gets.
I've tried night shots and à lited shot with series 5 colorgrading. I need to practice more but hope fully the color show through better.
