I don't know where this idea came from, but one day I decided that I wanted to design a console/console room based upon the Atari 2600. I will probably make this into a full 3D model at some point, but here's what I have for the time being.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)
(The dotted lines on the console are there because it was originally intended to be a papercraft model)

Ooh, interesting! I'm also an Atari fan.  ;D
I could see how it would work, the joystick controls as well as a key pad for games like Star Raiders.

It does look like it could've existed in the early 80's! The integral monitor would have been popular (albeit very expensive). Have you considered doing a Vectrex-style console as well?

This is great idea!  I recently acquired an old 2600, and it's a lot of fun... or was until the RF adapter wore out, which i have since replaced.  You really should make this into a 3D model, and maybe add a few other 80's elements to the control room as well.
Awesome as is though.
