Is the console in the above link a genuine studio version or a replica? If it's a replica its very good and where is it now!

It is the original prop, partly restored in the 1990s by me and then later in 2003 by Visual Effects man, Mike Tucker.  It's currently in the hands of a private collector as is the rehearsal version.

You'd be surprised by just how many original props still do exist.

It does rather appear that the dark grey parts (including the light grey raised hex shape) were removable from the plinth...

I had previously been of the opinion that maybe just one of the light grey hex's were removable..
