Don't know where you find these images, but I am certainly thankful that you are willing to share them! This is one of the more interesting images I have seen. I could be wrong, but by the looks of the shade, this would appear to be an earlier box (from the 30s or 40s) that retains it's original pale blue paint, but has the more modern white window frames, blue "Police Box" sign, raised phone panel (with glass sign) and ambulance badge which I always though was signature of the latter dark blue boxes. I've never seen one such as that before (except one by Britannia miniatures which I assumed someone hand painted after purchase).  A couple of photobucket images (hope the owner has no issue with my linking) below show the different syles.

What a great historical collage on the Police Box.  Many thanks to all the contributors!!  I really enjoyed seeing them.

Three new ones for you to contemplate
This one has a familiar looking building behind it?

I was watching Randall and Hopkirk yesterday, an episode from 1969 'Just for the Record' and thought I saw a police box  :o As I had my camera to hand, I took the low tech option of taking a photo of the TV screen - so not a great picture lol

Am I seeing the same Tower of London box as in KB's picture?

I would say you have hit it on the nose.  You can see the door sign in your pic to the left of the two red phone boxes.

Not sure if we've seen these ones before? I don't know where they are.

Nice; the Sheffield style of box is rather fine.

So, who's going to be the first to build a replica of one of those Edwardian ones? - and is Carshalton so trustworthy that they didn't need to bother with the door? or so dodgy that someone nicked it?

Is that a dog house next to the box?

I never saw Britain of the 20th century firsthand so the more period images and films of police boxes I see the more I get a sense of their reported ubiquity. Nice!

You can catch a police box in the final scene of Bedazzled (1967). It's a great mix of London imagery with grubby postwar squalor and the shiny new Post Office tower - all in colour. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray!

Just found these pics in my collection. They were taken at the Police training school at Hendon in about 1983/4police box.jpg

I miss that row of icons under a username, where you could click to view their builds

Me, too!

Made it so much easier to see what everyone has got up to.  ;D

I like seeing everyone's full body of work like that.

Cheers!

I wish I found this place sooner (circa 2010) - alas, I was late by 9 years.
