FWIW...

I took apart my TARDIS today in preparation for repainting and an outdoor photo shoot, and I weighed all the parts. Keep in mind this was done with a typical bathroom scale, so I imagine there is a pretty significant margin of error.

Corner Posts        = 82 kg
Two walls + doors= 76.5
Base                     = 32
Rear Wall              = 30 (thicker than rest)
Roof                      = 30
Sign Boxes            = 15
Windows               = 5.5
Lamp assembly      = negligible

TOTAL                       271 kg (596 lbs)

Fascinating - same weight as my box almost to within the kilogram...  :)
Well, I suppose since it's also Season 18, it's not too surprising.

EDIT: I also measured mine with a bathroom scale.

I was wondering how heavy an exterior TARDIS ends up being. I was looking on ebay for them, and came across one (link below). It looks brilliant, and was thinking of building one like it. But how heavy would it end up being? The one in the link says it is made of timber, and separates into 6 bits, but how heavy would it be? Would I be able to carry each bit, or would it need a car, or even a van?

And he'd just swagger off back to his TARDIS, and open the doors with a snap of his fingers.

They can vary a lot, depending on the construction and the thickness of the wood. They don't all weigh 1/4 ton.

It's a bit like asking "how heavy is a table?"
