Hi KB, this is a really generous service that you are offering to provide to people here and I'm more than sure that many members will be very thankful.  Such a nice thing to do.  Thank you.

Wow - I echo what Purple wrote,  that's a brilliant and generous thing to do for fellow board members, KB! A huge collective 'thank you'!

Here here, that's great, thanks KB.   I might have to take you up on this when I get around to a new build one day.    Good on you!

Chris,

I echo the group and applaud your effort here. And to do so without Profit is very generous of your time. I know we do not have Karma on here but I will assume that real Karma will bless your life.

Or at minimum The Church of the Second Coming of the Great Prophet Zarquon will most definitely send some blessings your way.

Here's a practical question: When these handles are no longer made (like the old pebbled glass), would anyone be able to make duplicates out of resin?

oooo They probably would, I don't know how sturdy a resin handle would be with constant use or outdoor exposure.  Now it may be possible to have them case in Metal by someone but I don't think Resin would really hold up.

chriskingbees has helped me out plenty of times in the past. Allow me to point out here (as if anybody didn't know) what a top bloke he is.

That's a great thing for you to do for those of us state-side!  I may hit you up for a Yale lock and door hardware.  Is it possible for you to list some of the items you're talking about along with prices.  Thanks again!

Well, the Barnet Box big handle was 6 1/2" long, so the little one was probably about 5 1/2 " long. (However I realise that you were asking about the Tardis so I haven't answered the question at all!)

- and a bit of googling finds handles of just these sizes, described as 162mm and 134mm sash window handles. Not identical to the originals admittedly.

I've spent the morning surfing the net looking for door handles for my full sized TARDIS prop and have had no luck.

I've searched under 'Liberty', 'Brass Door Pulls' 'Dual Hole Pull' and 'Footed Brass Door Pull' and dozens of combinations of the above.

No go.

Anyone know where I can get dual hole, footed brass door pulls for my TARDIS?

At this point, I don't care if they're made by Liberty, just so long as they're brass and look good.

Hi Tara
I'm sure there must be somewhere in the US that has them because as I said to you, the handles I sent to Sorvan appeared to have be made in the US - LOL

Keep looking (I will too) but if you can't find them, let me know and I'll get you a set  :)
Cheers

Hey Jon and TimeGirl!

Thanks again, the pair of you.

If no-one has a source on this side of the pond, I'll have to go UK.

There's something about having British parts on a TARDIS that sounds right.  :)
