Gosh, your little one is very lucky! I would have loved to have my own TARDIS at that age.

The build looks great, really coming along! look forward to seeing more pictures.

Gosh, I've been working on it here and there for over a year.  I don't get to spend a lot of time on it at any one point, so it's hard to keep track of the total time.  It has turned out to be a lot more work than I anticipated.  Any the money I've put into this......I don't even want to think about it.

She's lookin' good.  Nice to see this model have the fresnel instead of the bird feeder/candle holder.

Does anyone think that this lamp is too big for this build?  I built it years ago for my full size Police Box that I never finished.  I decided to see what it looked like on top of this 3/4 build.  I have mixed feelings.  The other lamp I had looks too small, and this one looks too big.  Looking for other opinions.

Kev, looking nice.  I am envious that you have the day off to work on this.  Let me know how that flasher circuit works for the lamp. As for the size of the Lamp, I think it looks fine honestly. I do not think it looks to big..the other one looked waaayy to small.   That one looks good to me..what is the diameter?

Kevin,

Your build is look fantastic...  I am going to ask you what size your fresnel lens is as well and where did you find it?   It looks fabulous.  I have always thought that NST should have a fresnel for a beacon light, rather than a garden lantern.

Keep up the good work...

cheers,
Jon~

Thanks Jon!  I bought the lens on ebay about 5 years ago.  Yes, I've been trying to build a Police Box for 5 years.  Although this particular build has only be ongoing for a little over a year.  I've uploaded some pictures of the lens with measurements, and pics of how I made the frame for it.  Here they are:

Thanks Karsten!  I've posted pics of the lens in a previous post, so you can see the exact dimensions and how I made it.  I posted these on the old MSN forum years ago.  I think I've seen my pics floating around in a document with different Police Box plans.  Not that I mind or anything.  Always happy to share my work.

Here's a video showing the progress I've made on my lamp flasher today.  It's turning out quite well, but I've got to get some LED's with higher viewing angles.  These only have a 10 degree viewing angle.  The camera makes it look a brighter than it is, but it's still bright enough to give you snow blindness for a new minutes.  Of course I will be using more than 2 in my lamp, this is just for demo purposes.
