thats great news a police box has a ton of areas that would allow water to get in or make it puddle up. putting a slight angle on things is certianly a good idea... one question is that where your tardis is gonna live? great build and back drop.

Quick update the TARDIS does appear to have a leak, the source of which is as of yet undiscovered  >:( but considering the amount of rain at the weekend I`m not surprised.Big day tomorrow it`s the young Apprentices birthday & she is unaware of the surprise waiting for her when she gets home from school  ;D painted the phone panel today hope to have the handles & lock fitted tomorrow th_DSCF1329.jpg

Hi guys just managed to get the TARDIS to a finished state before the young apprentice got home from school, when she was then blind folded & taken on a magical mystery tour before arriving at the site of the TARDIS  ;) have attached a few pics of her 1st setting eyes on it & taking possession of it.Still quite a bit to do but I guess you never really finish a TARDIS th_DSCF1348.jpg

What a lucky girl she is :)
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

I was reading all of this thread this morning and your build is extremely inspiring.   I love watching how its coming/come together its well..brilliant is all I can say.  Your Junior Apprentice Is thrilled I'm sure.  How come you chose the Brachaki?  I personally love that one,  but curious as to why you picked it.
I want notes, lists and answers by the time I finish this here Juicy-a-Box! WARNING: I am Thirst-ay! And it is Fruit Punch! And it is Delicious!"

Thank you for your kind words Karsthotep & mucho karma for struggling through my build thread  :o I know at times it has been a struggle for me but the sole reason for the build in the 1st place was as a surprise birthday present 2 years ago  :-[ When I 1st started to research the build on the net I came across a picture of the original Brachaki box with some dimensions & THIS was the TARDIS that I remembered from my youth & the 1 I wanted to build for my daughter & so after a quick read of Glens manual, combining the 2,with a few mods of my own along the way the build commenced.Unfortunately I realized pretty soon that if I was going to any kind of justice the TARDIS name I wasn`t going to have ready in time for her birthday but it was at a stage that it looked like th_2007_0610Tardisbuild0005.jpg
th_2007_0610Tardisbuild0009.jpg1.For the next 18 months the build staggered a long until earlier this year I decided that I must get this re-assembled & finished or there was the danger it would become yet another unfinished project AND that my friend is how I ended up with a blue box & VERY happy daughter th_DSCF1351.jpg ;D

Isnt it funny that after browsing this here web site one looks at things, different builds, etc and somehow I seem to have 'missed' this lovely beauty.

Its one eck of nice build I think the Apprentice and young Apprentice have truly 'served their time' with this.

Now do either of you Sub Contract? LOL!

Having talked it over with the young apprentice we agree our terms are all the hot chocolate & hobnobs we can eat/drink also we would need to know if you are within cycling distance as we haven`t got our "box" working yet  ;D
