After a couple of months of little or no progress on the box...

it's one of those days where I can't stop smiling...!

(Don't examine the pull to open sign too closely; it's not finished yet...)

Quote8-) Maybe I'll do a recce for a gravel quarry whilst I'm at it...

:D Now that would be very cool - keep a watchful eye out for the Hand of Fear then!

In the meantime, hope the repaint goes well!! :D

cheers

Hi Tom

Looks really great - I'm building a season 18 as well.
Any chance of some daylight photo's?

Also, did you design the 'pull to open' sign yourself? I'm trying to find a nice clear picture of the season 18 phone panel so that I can recreate it in Illustrator, if you have one that'd be much appreciated ;)

cheers
Chris

How you doing Tom,

I'm not surpirised you haven't stopped smiling, even in the "atmospheric" lighting of your picture, your TARDIS looks great.

Nice work mate.

What does everyone think of the yellow bulb inside? Too much?

I think the yellow light looks great, Tom - it gives it a lovely old fashioned look. Like it had been used for many years by a 'heavy smoking' policeman :)

These night shots inspire me to stop being so lazy and get on with my build.

LOL! Too busy smoking high-tar ciggies all day to catch any crims by the look of it  :D
Seriously, I think it looks great - the old and well-used look; plus - old light bulbs and lanterns give off a more yellowy light anyway.

I had to laugh tonight. I was showing my wife Brenda (who is not dense by any means!) the freshly finished door panel, and she asked, "Does it go in or out?" I said, "Didn't you read it?! PULL TO OPEN!"  :D

Very  much nicotene stained, but looks well Tom.

South Yorkshire Police have now banned smoking from ANY part of police premises, including car parks and the social club. The Police Box is one of the few places I could think you might have chance at a crafty fag (and the window's open)!

I laughed quite a long time at your last post Tom, about your wife and the Pull To Open issue. Does she also touch anything that has a "Wet Paint" sign on, just to check? (Mine does?!)

Aah... is there any sound more satisfying than that ~click~ you hear when you lock your Police Box for the first time?
