Thanks Timegirl!  I'll reduce the text another 5% or so before I do the final version, and I may replace the braided phone cord with a solid one.  I have the brackets to add to the bottom, as well.

looks pretty "tardisy" to me, i'm guessing you left off the small box underneath the beacon because of height restrictions. good job and a build to watch for sure. how deep are you planing to set your walls back.... just curious

Height restrictions, the fact that you can't see the top from below, and that the various props sometimes didn't have the little box, or had a very very small one.

The doors and walls will be 1 11/16" back from the front face of the column.
