I believe this is L6 Wandsworth Road, Lambeth Box (Located next to 827 Wandsworth Road) Taken in 1963

I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise at this point, but the Met List is off by about 15 yards as to its actual location (with no indication it had been re-sited). The list would have it just the other side of the Bus Stop, at that little niche (58 yards east of Cedars Road).

You know, it's interesting - looking at the street view it doesn't look like there's enough room for a Police Box in that spot, but little has changed and there you are - fits like a glove.

In looking closer it does appear that the end of the building facade has been extended a bit on the ground floor (the "pillar" is thicker), but still - a very tight fit.

I have never seen anything like this done with the lamp before on a Met box. I assume for visibility?

Notice the lamp is on a bracket on the front?

So it can be seen from up the right hand side of the street.

What an excellent find Lym and not a bad site....... Prices aren't too bad either (starting from £6.99 for a 7"x5" but the A4 Poster size Interests me for £10.99) plus P&P £4..Still a lot cheaper than some of those cowboy sites that would charge you £50 plus even for personal use!
Type the word "Police" and see what you come up with......At least four that I like and a few more for those of you that also like Police Public Call Posts! 
They did make a story up about this one though.....
