Ohh.. now look at that!

I questioned that interior of the box prop originally....
Think protective padding for the bike stunt was the outcome...  interested to see that it IS actually otherwise.

We know that this second half of the season we are gonna get to see more of the inside of the TARDIS than before in Journey to the center of the TARDIS, maybe they figured if they were going to have to build more they might a well redo the console room so it ties in?
Lets face it, the corridors we saw in The Doctor's Wife didn't exactly fit well with either of the console rooms.

I wouldn't read much into the ribbing.  It's just a stunt cushion probably to help the box not rattle when the bike runs through it and to cushion Matt in case he fell inside the box or something..  Also the ribbing in the console room shot angles toward the center, not straight across.  It's also less pronounced and a little flatter at the apex of the curve.  I wouldn't read into this that much other than coincidence.

They are probably doing it to confound those pesky tardis builders and their meddling  :)
so let me get this straight,A thing that looks like a Police box standing in a junkyard,It can move anywhere in Time and space ?

That looks more like a set from the Gaiman Cyberman story, note the semi-circular patterns which are extremely reminiscent of Tomb of the Cybermen, plus the fact that the gentleman in the foreground has a metal face...

Nope, it's from "The Snowmen". Not sure if that's actually Vastra or an I- sorry - SPOILERS...

It looks like the three steps at the top of the time rotor with the symbols and downlights may rotate, it's just they aren't aligned perfectly to each other, just slightly off. If they don't rotate then you would have thought that they would align perfectly even though they are offset.

PMC and I are of the same mind.  I think it'll be a neat effect as it's something I think would be part of a feature film console.

Another glimpse of the interior from a BBC America trailer.

The phone has a proper housing box.

That confirms that the foam seen inside the exterior prop is meant to represent the interior, rather than act as protection.

And so I'm proven wrong now this new bit of evidence has been released. Nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely beautiful isn't it!
Gosh, this knocks the socks off any console room since they brought the series back in 2005.
