Now, this Box presents a bit of a problem. With both anecdotal and photographic evidence that this is the right intersection, the above photograph shows it on the wrong corner. The Met List says this should be on the Northwest corner, but the photograph clearly shows it and the two concrete K3 Telephone Kiosks on the Northeast corner. If the Met List is describing the Site locations when the Boxes were removed (and I know it's too much to expect any kind of consistency here), then this Box was moved from the photographed location some time prior to 1971. That or the Met List is just in error. Shades of Epping Forest all over again.

The geography is essentially the same as it was back then, with the street furniture on a walkway behind the crescent-shaped planter, etc. Only the arrangement of things is different, plus there now being a hedge a bit back from where there was a wall in the c. 1935 photograph.
