Nope - it's J13 --

J13-altView.JPG

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Hoe+Street,+London&hl=en&ll=51.575209,-0.013078&spn=0.004441,0.010589&sll=51.582807,-0.018273&sspn=0.01872,0.039611&oq=ho,+london&hnear=Hoe+St,+London,+United+Kingdom&t=m&layer=c&cbll=51.575183,-0.013033&panoid=Yurf5zEc7mUzv_ol8T_0lw&cbp=12,0.92,,0,7.61&z=17

Met List calls it Hoe Street, but it's right at the point where it becomes Leyton High Road, so either could be used even though it's probably the Hoe Street side of the roadway. Gotta love those edges.

Well Done......I wondered why the box looked quite high up..that explains it!

I'm trying to work out what's making the roof in the 1955 photo look so strange! ???

Looks to me like there's a stoplight in front of it.

As the Youtube clip that features this box isn't included in the thread above, heres a link to it. The box appears roughly four seconds in...

Nice find Mark!

Here are a few screen captures from this footage (entitled "Rare Home Movie Footage of 1960s Leyton High Street, East London") --

Blue windows.  Concur?  Looking at the cars, I'd clearly say they should be white.

Nevermind.  My brain is seeing what it wants to see.  I suspect the windows are white in those screencaps.

Photo moved and merged as requested.

Really nice to finally have a clear photo of this late model Mark 2.

Here's a blowup of the Box --

J13--Bakers Arms Box - c1960s - HiRes-Blowup.JPG

The pattern of windows that could be opened was unique to this Met model. We are seeing (from left to right) the right and rear sides of this Box.

ooo i like that! It looks like Peter Cushing could step out of it at any moment :)

Does anyone have any contacts in the Lucasfilm/Disney CGI department?
