I dunno dude, your mom is on to something there.  You do kind of resemble the LaBeouf...  I say keep it and TELL people it's you!  How much did you spend on your build ? (if you don't mind me asking :))

I don't mind at all, if you don't count the lights (that I bought after christmas for whatever random project popped up) I spent just shy of $60.00 if you do count the lights then 64-65
I could have done it for less but I was trying to NOT use Balsa (to the greater extent) as I wanted my TARDIS to be a bit sturdier than Balsa would have (probably) allowed. I have 12 nails total in the thing and have done my best to hide them. The hinges have screws but I don't really mind that.
Last night I bought myself a 10th Doctor figure that shipped today, it should arrive fairly soon. Unfortunately, it's the Impossible planet/Satan pit figure so I'm having to buy a new suit for him and thats a pain.. was bidding on a close enough one on ebay but someone outbid me... I am also buying a new body to mount the head on.
I made a 1/6th sonic screwdriver some time back from a 3 3/4 Obi-wan Kenobi lightsaber and a wooden dowel. It can be extended or withdrawn :D

I made some MINOR progress this weekend... my mother-in-law went into the hospital with chest pains and VERY high blood pressure. Like twice the normal level.
I DID however get my Doctor figure in the mail today so at least something good happened.

I don't know how much progress I'll make in the next few days but I'll try to get some work done whenever I can.

Do you have a lot of experience in making clothing for figures of this size?  I considered making a console room for a couple of figures I have in 1:6 scale after seeing the work that you and some other folk are doing.  I have been checking out different sources for clothing.  Any ideas there?  Sorry to hear about your MIL.  Any updates there?

I have a little experience with making clothes for figures in this scale.. I just bought a thing for punching holes in leather so I can make buttons for the clothes :P
I bought a new body to mount the head on and a suit that is close enough (for now anyway). His shoes are another story.

My mother-in-law's lungs were apparently filling with fluid. They put her on a medicine to stop that, I don't know anything more than that yet, but I'm about to go to the Hospital so I suppose I'll find out.

Sorry to hear bout that.  I hope everything works out.  So are you putting the head on a taller body?  More points of articulation?  What's the deal there?

oh.. um, the new body is mainly cause I don't like the looseness of the joints on this one plus he has those gloved hands.. the body will probably be the same height to start with but I may modify it to match his (Tennant's) height.

My mother-in-law is still in the hospital, seems they gave her some dye for an MRI or something and it temporarily shut her kidneys off. She has kidney problems as it is because shes diabetic and doesn't listen to the doctor. She was trying to get my wife to smuggle some chips in to her yesterday.
I did more work to the body and got the lights added... no sound and the light at the top is constant instead of flashing, but they work (after much fiddling with it this evening.. I had them working then hooked in the power and bang.. nothing, I had to re-work EVERY connection but it's working now :P).

I got the sign boxes and floor provided by Jiminydog from the sideshow collectors site printed up today and added them to my box.
The signs came out a little big but thats MY fault.

Great work!  Love the K-9 also by the way, sort of k-9 meets bulldog.  Oh, and you have a little TARDIS on your face there too fella.  How are you going to do your window frames?

I'm going to buy some THIN strips of wood on friday to make the frames. lol when my wife took that picture I didn't know about the paint.
Well, I suspected but hadn't had a second to check.
K9... I was going to make him out of sheet plastic like I saw here http://www.nebula7.com/K9/index.html but since I had leftover wood from the TARDIS I thought... "Why not make a quick one from that first." so I did and I covered it with cardboard from a cereal box. :P
I AM planning to make another K9 from the sheet styrene soon but I kinda dig this one

Oh, and about those pointy black shoes?  Any plans or is it going to be one of those "just live with it" details?  Is that pinstripe suit your handywork, or did you find that online?

I bought the suit on Ebay.. the shoes came with it. I DO plan to buy him new shoes when I can find some but until then I'm afraid that its a "live with it" situation... maybe it's after he met Martha and tossed his shoes. Hasn't had time to get new converse yet ;)

I'll post the name of the ebay store when I get home.
