Building this virtually to work out the measurements.

Nice work! I think the knobs should be a little deeper perhaps. Not much. :)
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,

Thanks for the feedback, rassilonsrod!  I've sunk them in deeper.

That 3D model looks great!  When you're done with the model I'd love to get a copy in something I can import into Solidworks, we're going to scratchbuild one of these to display with the screen used console and it looks like you've done all of the hard work on the dimensions already!

Thanks!

I haven't used Solidworks, but I expect I can draw up the measurements one way or another when I've got it done.

Nice work, what software do you use?
Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I think that the chances of finding out what's actually going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say, "Hang the sense of it," and keep yourself busy. I'd much rather be happy than right any day.

Thanks -- it's quick'n'dirty, really, just checking to see if my assumptions about dimensions look right.  I'm using POV-Ray.

I'm going to build this monitor in the next month in time for the be t August console appearance - do you have any dimensions or a 3d model to help me get started?
