TARDIS Console Room Roundels Template

Is there a template anywhere for example a picture of a circle close to a roundel that once opened properly shows the exact size and dimensions? Mainly one that can be printed off and stuck on a wall for a rough design.

Can somebody help me out with this please?

Also what would be the best way to mount Strip lighting behind the panels in a small room? Take the wall back to the plaster board and mount the strip lights on the plaster board of keep the wall as it is?

As for constructing the walls, I highly recommend visiting Scarfwearer's site at "Relative Dimensions" (http://relative-dimensions.net/v2/home/index.htm). He's got a fantastic section under "Console Room" on how he constructed his walls. (His was the "Key to Time" version, so depending on which version you're going for you may have to adjust.)

Many thanks for that, it really did help a lot! I found some plans on the tinterweb and I'm going around my wall putting the designs on my wall - Mother isn't too happy about me drawing on my wals and doors but hey ho! Got to grow up sometime, but I don't want to

Rob, you've seen my signature line. And my epitaph shall read "I may have grown old, but I refused to grow up!"

I know what you mean about your mum, though. When I was in high school, I very lightly dabbed fluorescent paint on the nail heads in my room's wall paneling. Panelling nails have very tiny heads, and this took a long while to get all the colors done. During the day it was fine. You couldn't see any paint unless it was night, and I had my black light turned on. Then the different colors glowed like a galactic star field. Months went by without incident, and then one night my mum came into my room while I was chilling in my galaxy, saw the glowing dots and quite literally went all Dalek on me!

I ignored her, figuring it was my room and I was entitled to at least a little space <pun> to call my own. I never heard the end of it, and once I enlisted in the Coast Guard and left home she ripped the paneling out of my old room, filled in the nail holes and painted everything a color that I can only describe as a cross between barf and baby poo. Thank goodness I got married shortly after joining up. I never had to go back into that room again.

Wow! Is all I can say to that... I don't understand your mother's reaction at all to be honest. On my sixteenth birthday I came home from boarding school and found that my mother had painted my ceiling with planets, stars and galaxies.

It's probably because she doesn't trust me, I have the grades to prove I can do it but she's just one of those people I guess. Shame
