It's real close to putting the finish on, first I will build the Base and get the slides working for the DVD racks. I must admit to a tight fit and having an issue to fix but thank goodness it's just wood and easy to adjust widths.

I will pop out all the glass tomorrow and glue the grills in place, damn thing clip right on the cabinet edge. Surprised me they fit so well. I may may epoxy them on this way the poly will blend in perfect with any left over glue. Just a thought for now.
The signs are supposed to be DONE tomorrow,, well see if they are.
Will start on the base and the rack assembly next, should be done in time for the contest lol like I have the likes LOL I like to think I got one of a kind for a Tardis build.
Thanks for looking please take a moment and go vote for your favorite, I have been pushing for Paul Bradford's 100291 build. NOW I will ask for me.

It's Monday and the Tardis withdrawal has kicked in, and it sounds like the contest is pretty much over. I have 99% of the build done and just need the base finished and DVD racks mounted. No Hurry now lol I want it all complete by the weekend more pics soon. Getting ready for a long drive home.

I will update this build when I finish the sliding DVD racks and the base. I have some wheels for the base so I will build it with sides that will conceal the wheels. Once this darn heat wave leaves me in peace.
Hope you all enjoyed this so far, I did try to update the Tardis contest but I think it may be to late. My plans were to take this to Mansfield Reformatory Prison to the Central guard room. It's an awesome view and has Stalin and Lenin ( I hope this is the correct spelling) Portraits from the Air Force One movie in the background.
Thanks for Looking,

It is too late to update the TARDIS Contest on BBC America. But don't worry, some Lego or Cake Build is going to win. Since not everyone would be able to build a Full Size TARDIS so I am positive they will give it to some klown with a junk creation concept.
I wish they would have offered prizes for each category so Full Size Builds and concept builds would be separate.

Anyhow The Oak DVD storage TARDIS looks awesome. Excellent job. Too bad you couldn't have gone with a Blue Stain. I think with the Oak grain it would have looked like the current prop. But the Oak wood look is also very attractive as a furniture piece.

The Blue stain  :o sounds like an excellent idea, maybe the next one lol. I have made my mind up to build the real deal and junk my plastic made shed.
Kind of sad about the contest going like it is.

I have the sliding DVD racks all built  :o :o
I had a bit of a SNAFU when I lost 1" in the door hinges sticking out. I wanted the concealed Blum style and it came at a slight cost of more work,,, well not really. I used the 100% accuride slides for drawers, this gives a 200lbs weight capability and a lot cheaper then the typical bottom spice rack slides. Again just a bit more work.
DSC03358.JPGDSC03359.JPGDSC03360.JPGDSC03361.JPGDSC03362.JPGDSC03364.JPG
So I just recessed the center drawer slides to give me back the 1" I lost and all is well.
Now tomorrow or later cut out the base tear this down and stain and then cut damn near 400 pieces of 1/16th acrylic cell cast 1" x 5 3/4" and I looking at a done DVD Tardis.
To Be Continued  ;D
