I drew this about a month ago to accompany my Tardis key design:

Here it is in the building process:

Luke!  That's one hot sonic!  I love what you've done here!

Love it! How new, and old and steampunk, like my neighbors kitchen! (No really)

Very cool indeed, I've been thinking of doing something like that myself with the Tennant sonic.
Farewell Sarah Jane, you will be missed.

That's very cool.  Have you considered either a leather wrap or a knurled texture on the handle?  Perhaps even wood?

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

I was thinking about adding another texture to the sonic, but I felt that plain brass would suit my key and new console I'm making.

How are you getting it to light up while it's extended? Have you modified the button(s)? Or are you just doing what I've been, which is pulling back on the extended bit slightly until the button just catches on the frame and gets pressed just enough to light it?

I'd love to modify my Eleven sonic so it would light in extended mode without having to rely on that red button at the back, but I also don't want to have to hack the thing to pieces in order to do it. Mental block: I just can't figure out how.

I'm just pulling it down a bit when it's extended, although I think the design does it intently after studying it.
