Which version? There have been several:

Cybermat, Mark 1 (probably from "The Wheel In Space")

Mark 1-undersides

Cybermat (Mark 2, I think. (This is similar to the Mark 1, but the real small version as seen in "Tomb of the Bybermen")

And Cybermat, Mark 3 (as seen in "Ark In Space")

Tomb of the Cybermen was before Wheel in Space and Tomb featured both large and small Cybermats.

Many years ago I went to the pub with Michael E. Briant who directed Revenge of the Cybermen.
He had owned that particular Cybermat and had stored it in his garage up until the point he had thrown it out with the rubbish...

Sad but true!

I know "Tomb" was before "Wheel", but I don't remember seeing the larger version in that one. (Ha! Now I have an excuse to watch the "Tomb" DVD again! Not that I really need an excuse, mind you.)

I believe the "Doctor Who Pattern Book" from the 1980s had a pattern in it for making a Mark 1 Cybermat plushie. That might be a start depending on what you want it for (and which version you're after). Not that a plushie would do, but the pattern might be adaptable for building one in another medium.

Indeed sad. Very sad. Almost as sad as having the Season 14 wooden console broken up and tossed into the skip. (Two more stops to add to my list if things to do once I get a real TARDIS working.)

These are my favourite cybermats (from The Wheel in Space)

I really wish Character Options would make a remote control one.

Go to their web site (http://www.character-online.com/) and use their Contact US link at the bottom of the page to make the suggestion. (They're in Christmas mode now so don't be put off by the falling snowflakes and flying Father Christmas in his sleigh when the page loads.)

With "Doctor Who" so popular now, both New and Classic series, they just might do it. (It never hurts to ask.) I had asked about Classic series sonics a while back, and now we've got the Pertwee version. I am not claiming that my suggestion resulted in that happening, but mine may have been one of enough that CO decided there was enough of a market demand to start making Classic sonics.

(Don't bombard them all at once, Forum Members, but maybe if a large enough handful of us make this suggestion, spread out over a few weeks or months, then CO might at least consider making some RC Cybermats.)

RC Cybermats would be cool.  Cats and dogs would go nuts.

Like this, you mean? :)

We put my son's remote controlled car underneath, and yes the cat was most intrigued.
Never did get around to spraying it silver.

Crispin! Please don't spray your cat silver!  ;)

I had a go at building myself a Cybermat based loosely on the Tomb version...

I think it looks pretty damn spot on too :) How on earth did you do the eyes so neatly?
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.
