This is an excellent question. Just to clarify... the links aren't actually "dead" by internet definition. The entire Megaupload site was seized some years ago because of its pirating practices. (See this post: http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=2634.msg38555#msg38555.) I guess it's been long enough now that whoever at the DOJ/FBI holding custody of the site felt it was time to just pull it all down.

I did try the Wayback Machine Internet Archives for those links, but it looks like the DOJ got their hands on the back-ups as well. The Wayback Machine has no records of anything Megaupload-related.
