MTLs First SketchUp Console

I started a virtual sketchup console, i am still learning the progrm so it wont be too good, if you guys have any tips or tutorials or how-to's for me, that would be great

this was the first thing i did, seemed to be the easiest, some colored tubes that, would light up if it were real!

First panel complete, i dont really like it, i may re-do it but for my first i think it did go pretty well, here are some other views:



I used a real TARDIS screen shot for the one screen on here, for effect of course, its also my destop

Not bad for a first attempt. You have transparencies, and a texture.

How long have you been working with sketchup? It really does look good so far. And don't worry about it not looking like any of the other sketchup consoles on the forum, you are just beginning your journey young grasshopper

Oh, and not being happy with the control layout is part and parcel to this. You'll go through many, many itterations.

just downloaded it this morning actualy so only about 12 hours, im taking a break from this one and building an entire room, so far i have the floor done and im doing the little circles on the walls

I did, and It was going perfect, then my laptop crashed... I never made a back up of it because I was only an hour into it D: Im on my desktop, I plan on downloading the program soon so i can start again

A point of note as I do not know if it is intentional or what, but before you get too far it's worth pointing out perhaps that traditionally the console has only 6 panels...

i know, but thanks lol, i like the 8 instead of 6, idk why, appeals to me, it was just a quick sit down test run,trying out different things, so far ive sketched up 8 panel designs, gunna do some 6 and maybe some 5
