Wow, in my personal opinion - these are MUCH better than what we got. As said before, there are bits of the new one that I like, but as a whole, I think its nothing like as good as what we've had in the classic series.

The bottom two I haven't seen, the last one looks based on the PPDs on the site.
seen a less detailed attempt at the top on on sketchup.

Even though I like the classic consoles, the second one down is a bit TOO in-your-face-shiny-sci-fi, the console is too chunky for me, and, even though Tennant's was round, I can't see the six panels.
I'm a bit disturbed by the fact that under the season 27-ish console, there seems to be a hole...

LOL Looking around the rest of this image I think that is meant to be a black glass floor under the console like the panels on the floor around the raised outside....

I have seen these on my many searches before and have to agree that either of the last two would have made a brilliant console room for the 11th Doctor and as they are both  very similar in general layout to what we ended up with I cant see that they would have been any more expensive to produce, probably less so if anything.......please let somebody show these to the BBC and show them what they could have done

Won't do any good.  The current console room is here to stay probably, at least til the BBC get's it's money's worth out of it (or Moffat hands over the series to another producer).

I have half a dozen designs that someone at the BBC could have used instead of what they have now.  But the truth is I like the current design.  If nothing else it has inspired me to move into different design directions.

I like certain things about the new room. I like the spaciousness, I like the split level idea, I like the corridor from the policebox, I like the plant bucket hexels. And I like the coridors leading away.

What I'm not so keen on is the execution. I find it a little bit too "technicolour" for my tastes.

I will say that it has inspired me in some ways.

I really like the current console room, I just don't go much on the console itself, and hate the centre column. I much preferred the 9th/10th console, and think it would have gone quite well in the current room. I dunno, maybe the current console would have been alright if it at least had a decent centre column, the current one looks like an oversize buttplug.

Wow, there are some beautiful concepts , really inspirational pictures should anyone want to try a custom console using some of the elements. I particularly like the ultra chunky based one.

Ah, the last two designs are by Matt Savage, who has worked in the Doctor Who design team.  That's why those look better.
