A while ago I made a dematerialisation circuit, which eventually showed up in one of my films.
Here's a couple of pictures:

It's a bit rough, and I don't have a build diary for it, which is why it's here.

The disks are made from MDF, cut with a hole saw. There are short sections of copper pipe as spacers. I used short carriage bolts for the metal domes on the ends. The copper wire is stripped out of mains flex.
I used a wooden ball from a hobby shop, and some short sections of dowel for the rods.
The green balls are beads from a bead hobby shop.

Some day I must do a better one, as this one is missing quite a few details.

One of the simplest and best things ever :)
In the cities in the streets there's a tension you can feel,
The breaking strain is fast approaching, guns and riots.
Politicians gamble and lie to save their skins,
And the press get fed the scapegoats,
Public Enema Number One.

Well it would do, but bits keep falling off it!

That would be a great door stop, if only a bit bigger.

Am I the only one here wondering why your tardis has an obligatory back to the future reference???

And about the circuit:
Great job!  The only times the Mark I/II circuit is ever seen on screen is a few blurry early-70's clips, so there's not really much to go on, unless someone here knows what happened to the original prop, or where high-res images can be found of it.
I suspect that more than a few people will now try to copy this for their consoles....
The ultimate TARDIS of ultimate destiny.  Type 1012.  Now with extra duct tape.

The demat circuit predates Back to the Future by at least a decade - they must have copied Doctor Who... :)

There is one extremely brief close-up of the Demat circuit in "Terror of the Autons". It happens just before the Brig introduces Jo to the Doctor as his new assistant. The Doctor sets the circuit into the "micro-welder" (or whatever he called it), and in a flash just before the smoke starts billowing from everywhere there is an excellent shot of the circuit, sitting still and not moving.

I don't have the DVD of that story yet, and sadly my old taping of it has degraded over the 20 some-odd years and the images are really bad. But I'm sure someone with the DVD can get a good screen grab of that one frame which should show some good details.

Between that, Scarfwearer's work, and Dematerialiser's work and images, we could piece the thing together!
