Hi All
Went to NEC Memorabilia show today and snapped this baby.
The builder wasn't about but the DT looky-like who was with the keys gave permission for me to post here. Slightly too much pitch on the roof (Owner admits) but a nice take on the new series model, I' think you'll all agree

I like the dalek with an identity crisis. He's always there and is of the highest quality
Many thanks

That dalek is Barney the Purple Dalek built and operated by David James (he is on hear somewhere) and its a fab dalek

as for the Tardis i think its a very nice take on the new series model if it wasn't for the roof it would look pretty much spot on.

Thanks for the pic

I agree.  If the roof has 50% less pitch and 200% more base, it would look pretty correct.  And the Dalek was feature either last week or the week before on the DWO Whocast.  There are some YouTube videos of it as well.

Have to say I like the pitch on the roof from that photo. To  my eyes it's better looking than the real new Tardis!#

Chris, I snapped some pics of this beast too! Did you notice the front and back sections 'seam' (excuse the pun) to be seperate?

Hi CEW
Yes I did indeed notice the seam. Last time it was there I had a chat with the builder and he showed me around inside and out. Didn't have a camera though.
The seam puts me in mind of the Battles In time model
Many thanks

PS Colin Baker liked my pic of my Met box. What a name dropper!!

i take it it's grp... I wonder if we know the guy?  quite like the steep roof... adds to the 'imposing' look.
many years ago when I worked as a journo (only a local rag) I had the pleasure of interviewing Colin Baker (he was appearing at the TR in Nottm) and he was a smashing chap - we chatted for a good hour after the interview had officially ended - I can't believe how fantastically supportive of the show and it's fans he was, considering he hadn't been sacked very long.

OK While I'm namedropping Colin Baker,
The first time I met him was 1989 in Canterbury on the last day of the "Ultimate Adventure" tour. We were last in the queue after the show (Matinee) to meet him and the following day was Robert's 7th birthday. Colin greeted Robert with "Hello, how nice to meet someone who shares my sartorial elegance, Is it your birthday tomorrow?" (I'd tipped him off) I swear they were still talking HALF AN HOUR later about daleks, cakes you name it. While Carole my wife, flirted with David Banks I, the fan was left  looking at what was on next week on the billboard.
The next time was at Tenth Planet for the signing of Big Finish's CD The Marian Conspirecy when he signed this snap from '89

Her's Carole and David for good measure;

Since then Colin and David have always been favourites of ours, and we always chat to Colin given the chance.
Sorry to drift off subject, but some happy memories for us here at KB Towers

Many thanks
