I'm trying to work out what scale the card K-9 that you can make in the New Series Model Making Kit is. If someone knows what scale it is that would be great. Alternatively can someone give me one of his dimensions (such as the length of the base at the bottom) so I can work it out?

Yay! Someone's pointing to my plans!

It would be more accurate to say that the plans are verified against some basic measurements and the rest from careful study. Nonetheless, I think they're the best thing going, but stay tuned for a long overdue update - nothing major. The back of the head will get the tiniest refinement, and the ears need to be added.

I am noticing you are using the old Starlog plans, which are sadly not that accurate in some areas...  These ones below are better and are measured off the Hero Model :-)

Hope it helps.

Try these.  I'll redo them and badge them for the group in the near future.

Well it appears to be about 1:5.5 scale. Some measurements I make as 1:5.4, some as 1:5.6 and I even bizarrely got a couple that came out as 1:4.4, but there must be something wrong there.

Thanks for the plans, they're great :)

Thanks Izzy.

I'll start again with these ones :)

Here's where I got to with the old ones.

Regards,

Dave.

That makes him more about 1:5 scale then. Which is a shame as my model TARDIS is 1:6

I wish I had the skill to build a full size K9.  :(
My pilot's license? That's out back in the Cessna. Or perhaps you're referring to my license to kill. Revoked. Trouble at the Kazakhstan border.

I could give you the details but then I'd have to kill you, which I can't do because my license to kill has been revoked.

Does anyone know the approximate height of K9?
