Its a mixture of the Richard E Grant Tardis, in Tom Baker colours, with other consoles here n there. Abit of audio editing I think

True enough.  Maybe you could even design a basic (homemade) piece of 'control' software, and you just use the laptop to access the TARDIS computer, as well as the scanner, and maybe a radar/sonar system.

Something else you can do:  put a compact (but decent) computer inside the console itself, and use a touchscreen, maybe one that relies entirely on USB for its data (compactness is important, as is keeping the power needs down)
Or use a small USB display, or one that you have lying around.

I plan to make a computer programme that works like the Tardis computer screen, so I can change flight path ect. I will be attaching a keyboard to the laptop and replacing the keys with typewriter keys. An idea for my Tardis is that I can pick up the laptop and sit in the library section of the Tardis, ect. That way if the Tardis gets in trouble my assistant has to wait for me to run back, lol! Seeing that I have only spent about £30 so far,  don't realy want to/have the money for buy/ing a new computer for this.... also I'm using the laptop becsue its old and useless....

For underlighting I plan to use some green cold cathodes (like under my Davros.. but their orange), that way it looks a-bit like the Matt Smith tardis

LOL.  That's exactly why I'm using a decrepit 6 year old lappy in my console!
