Hi, just wondering if anyone's tried this or thinking of trying...

Especially now the playset's on sale! :) (It has a somewhat chunky column to my eye but detailing on the radial legs looks fair. not sure about the panels in between.) I only got a brief look, anyone care to comment?

I've had a go at scaling the 2005-6 interior to suit a more modest 10foot headroom, DRAWN NOT BUILT!!!yet, with the idea of using angled panels of builder's insulation board to approximate the dome, and expanded polystyrene for the organic-looking beams.

Meanwhile, is anyone else thinking about this?

Cheers, Graham

There is a panoramic photo of the inside of the console room on the BBC website. Its a little hard to look at without a panorama image viewer, but its high resolution.

One of those panoramic viewer things igvea a 360 view too - they've (I imagine) actually photoshopped in the missing walls!  They wouldn't have built it for any reason would they?  This has been up since S1

Hmm, where is it....  here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/characters/tardis/full.shtml

Pretty interesting!

I've been tempted to make the Eccleston/Tennant consoleroom and console, I'd start off with the console to get it out of the way first.

And since I'd probably use it in one of my fan films, I'd probably create a single line of panelling for the walls and then structure it so each shot is individual and we'd move the column of panels to make it *look* like a complete room. If not that, then I'd use a brilliant 3d version of the room a Mr Quince kindly made for usage... I'll do some screengrabs and share.

I did a lot of that in my last Scarfwearer movie... Come to think of it, I think the beeb did a lot of that in the various corridor scenes.

I'm currently started building a 1/6th scale Tardis, to go with the Doctor 12" action figure I'm getting. Once I complete that, I'm taking out a section of my wall to make a console room, which would also be 1/6th scale, with a removable cover, so that I could put that tardis and wall covering over it. So when you open the tardis doors, it'll go in for a couple feet.

That sounds eerily Alice-in-Wonderland-y to me  :o

I'm looking forward seeing this as I doubt we will see anything from CO to compliment their 12" figures due to the size.

I've been tempted to build this but the only thing putting me off is the time rotor, I mean to do it justice it would be huge, sure you could probably just use half or even a third, but still its a huge undertaking, then of course the clear green panels might be a challenge...

As I am new to this I am going to ask - do 3D renders count? If so I have attempted it

I am planning to build a section of console for my 7/10th scale TARDIS.
Just sourcing some bits & pieces for it.  I could get away with about a third section to fit inside and still have room for Matthew & his friends to play in. Hopefully I will get it made for Xmas day. I plan to have it lit up green and have lots of bits of tat on the console. Oh and  a coathanger too. There is not much to do in there otherwise .

Are you doing to do what Justin (Primrodo) did and make a blowup of the TARDIS interior on the inside of your small box?
